Sol's Relationship w/ Columbine
Sol Pais was "accidentally" targeted by the FBI because of the fact that she:
1. Had a online presence displaying her interest in the Columbine High School Massacre case as well as "troubling" comments made about Eric Harris, one of the Columbine shooters. She expressed admiration and idolization for him as a person, not because of what he did.
2. Was reported missing
3. Was reported as having a “possible mental illness” (SOURCE)
4. Bought three one way tickets. The FBI is reported as saying this, along with Sol purchasing a gun as soon as she got off her plane, is what tipped the authorites off to Sol.
5. Traveled to Denver, Co. alone on a one way ticket without telling anybody.
6. Purchased a gun 2mi away from Columbine High School.
These factors, though suspicious, are not threats.
Sol’s only connection with Columbine is Eric Harris.
From the primary sources we have available, Sol said little to nothing about the Columbine massacre itself. Furthermore, she rarely mentioned the other shooter; Dylan Klebold.
Sol’s primary interest and primary connection to Columbine was Eric Harris.
Sol believed that Eric was her “soulmate” and, with this, believed that she could communicate with him through witchcraft, meditation, and dreams.
