Sol captures the interest of many, for many different reasons. Below is one of the most tragic examples...
Ben Goodspeed and Henrico Potgieter
Summary: Ben Goodspeed and Henrico Potgieter committed suicide together at Tolmie Peak Lookout, a 7-1/2-mile hike in the northwest corner of the Mount Rainer National Park in Washington on October 30th, 2020. The men, ages 29 and 34, died of apparent self-inflicted gunshot wounds, according to park officials. It is thought the pair committed suicide directly on Halloween day. At that time of year, Mowich Lake Road is closed for the season and hiking a stretch of the road adds a mile to the hike. They were dressed in Fallout 4 costumes at the time of their death. They were thought to be LARPing (LARP: a type of role-playing game in which each participant assumes a particular character and acts out various scenarios at events which last for a predetermined time,) but this could also be an ongoing joke to make fun of their unconventional-deaths. It could also be serious. Both are unconfirmed.The suicide note left by the two reads the following: "The raiders overtook sanctuary. Food stores running low. Only have 6 caps left + a bit of ammo... I think I hear something in the distance."
The note referenced the game, Fallout 4. 'Caps' in this case refer to bottle cap currency. Six caps means they're too destitute to buy a grilled radroach in Diamond City. Sanctuary is likely a reference to 'Sanctuary Hills', which is the first settlement you establish in Fallout.” -documentingreality user Vedderman
Ben, who was from Grand Rapids, MI, committed suicide with a Rifle.
Henrico, who was from Suwanee, GA, committed suicide via Shotgun.
The two men left behind a LARGE amount of artwork (in various fourms; poetry, sketching, painting, digital...)
Much more is known about Ben than Henrico. Ben was significantly more open about his personal life on the internet.

It has been theorized that Ben may have had an obession with Sol. This has not been confirmed.
It is thought that her suicide may have grately influenced his own.
He had also made this post on Facebook, directly refrencning Sol:
Ben's Facebook bio reads: "I thought that I'd die alone but my casket is right next to yours" He has no known romantic partner. It is not known who this is about.
EverythingInane, Ben's lastfm account (a website that showcases a users most listened to tracks/songs,) showcases as the second song most "loved" by Ben to be Sol by Solar Fields.
(Henrico has no known link to Sol at all. He just committed suicide beside Ben.)
