Q: Who was Sol Pais?
A: [Revised answer, 03/06/2024]
Sol Pais was a 19 year old member of the TCC (True Crime Community) who felt that she had a “deep connection” with Eric Harris, one of the shooters from the 1999 tragedy at Columbine High. She was incredibly depressed and expressed this on her personal website. (http://web.archive.org/web/20190417185631/http://dissolvedgirl.neocities.org/) From this website, where she uploaded her journal, we know Sol was incredibly spiritual, leading to her forming the delusion that Eric Harris and herself had some sort of “spirital connection.”
Sol was so depressed that she made the decision to commit suicide choosing Denver, Colorado (the same city Columbine took place) to take her own life. There’s speculation as to why she chose Colorado but (in my opinion) the “core reason” was the fact that Colorado is where Eric Harris lived for a period of time as well as where he ultimately died by suicide. There is some speculation that his ashes are scattered at ‘Mount Evans,’ the same place Sol would take her life. Sol, who was from Surfside, Florida, flyed out of Orlando International Airport to Denver International Airport and immediately Ubered to purchase a pump-action shotgun. This is the same gun Eric Harris used to kill himself. Sol then, after buying this gun, traveled by Uber to the Echo Lake Campground in Arapaho National Forest in Jefferson County, CO. She was dropped off at the at the base of Mount Evans. (This is not the same place Eric Harris died, but it is close.) She committed suicide by an oral gunshot wound. She was 19 at the time of her death.
After her death, there was a public warning issued for Sol’s arrest because they thought she was a threat to local Colorado schools. This resulted in many Colorado schools being completely shut down. Sol was catagorized as a national threat by the FBI. The news and public offcials reported that she had made a threat to Colorado High school; but this would later be proven false. Colorado authorities later found Sol dead at the campsite she traveled to. She had never made a threat and she had died before she was even reported as missing.

Q: Was Sol going to attack Columbine High School? Was Sol planning to hurt anyone or anything?
A: No, there has never been evidence of ANY (written, verbal, sarcastic, etc.) threat Sol Pais made to hurt anybody besides herself. Even with this, Sol never explicitly said she was planning her suicide.
Sol was dead LONG BEFORE the FBI reported her as threatening. Sol Pais traveled to Denver, CO. to commit suicide. She had no plan to hurt anybody but herself.
This misconception created by Florida and Colorado officials is still, despite being completely incorrect, being pushed by mass-media.
Sol didn't want to hurt anybody but herself. She did not deserve this.

Q: Why did Sol feel such a close connection to Eric Harris specifically?
(Question asked by Antonio, CBox)
A: WIP.
Q: When is Sol's birthday?
A: Sol's birthday is on the 1st of February 2001. She was 18 when she died.
Q: Where did Sol die?
A: Sol Pais commited suicide at Mount Evans. According to her autopsy report Sol was found "at the trail head off the grounds of the Echo Lake Lodge slightly off the trail." Sol brought with her: a passport, a duffel bag, a shotgun, as well as "personal affects." I assume the "personal affects" mentioned in the autopsy was her wallet, ID, and written journal.
Q: Where is Sol's body? Was she buried or cremated?
A: Sol's burial details are unknown. Most would assume she was cremated, though it is possible she was buried in an unmarked or private grave.

Q: What happened to Sol's website?
A: WIP.
Q: Did Sol have social media?
A: Yes, see here
Q: Why did Sol choose Mount Evans to kill herself?
A: THIS ANSWER IS ONLY THEORY. WE CAN'T KNOW FOR SURE.
Erics ashes are rumored to be scattered there. We don’t know if his ashes really were scattered there.
Sol most likely knew Mount Evans was the closest area to where Eric died (CHS.) Not to mention it is a remote & beautiful area. She didn’t want people seeing her body/commit. She also almost certainly didn’t want to scare anyone. Not to mention taking a gun up there isn’t uncommon. It’s a very good cover up.
Q: What school did Sol attend?
A: Sol attended Miami Beach High School. At the time of her death she was a senior at said school. She was an honors student.
Q: Did Sol have a significant other?
A: By all accounts (Sol’s family, friend Anna, as well as her own writings,) Sol did not have many, if any, real life friends, let alone a boyfriend. Seemingly, Sol had little to no romantic relationships her entire life and, towards the end of her life, she was “very committed” to Eric Harris. Sol told doctors/nurses at Douglas Gardens Mental Health center in Miami Beach, on April 8, 2019, that she had a boyfriend that lived in Colorado. This was most definitely a reference to Eric Harris. Sol originally visited the facility, in her own words, “to solve her social anxiety issues and move on.”
